About Me

Hello there. My name is Dan Koelsch. This is my blog. Here are some tidbits about myself in case you're new to me:

• I was born in Texas. I grew up mostly in Frederick, Maryland, but attended high schools in 3 different states (Rhode Island, California, and Maryland).
• I have a BA in Radio-TV-Film from Cal State Fullerton, with a Minor in Advertising.
• My career has mostly been as a buyer, working at the CSUF campus store Titan Shops, Newegg.com, and now Boeing Global Services. 
• I ran a film news blog called MovieViral.com for 6 years, where I wrote about viral marketing for films and television. I was fortunate to meet celebrities and attend events like movie premieres and Comic-Con.
• My wife Jaclyn and I have been married for over 2 years. We have baby daughter, Cameron, and a 4 year old dog, Remy.
• I have two older brothers who live in Georgia and Florida. I have four nieces between them.
• My parents were in the Air Force, so we lived briefly in Belgium and Iraq when I was an toddler.
• I’m a board game enthusiast with almost 100 games in my collection. My favorite board game is Dead of Winter. 
• My sports teams are the Los Angeles Lakers, Miami Dolphins, Baltimore Orioles, and Washington Capitals. My favorite sport is basketball, but the sport I'm best at is probably tennis. I was named after the legendary Dolphins QB Dan Marino.
